Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze, despite the German club not wanting to let him go.
Reports: Benteke To Join Liverpool
The Daily Telegraph claims Gotze is keen on a move to the Premier League after he and members of Bayern Munich's senior management exchanged a few words.
The reported row has alerted Liverpool and it's believed that they are ready to use there £49 million pound kitty, which was funded by Raheem Sterling's sale to Manchester City.
Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has urged Gotze to stay and believes that he will not leave the Bavarian club this season.
"Mario's got a contract here, he's my player and he's a great player too,'' Guardiola told ESPN.
"In my mind, he is going to be a Bayern Munich player all season.
"He's a top player, but I know that it's not only the coach who decides here. It depends on the club.''
Bayern Munich have been linked with Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal this window and he could possible pave the way for Gotze's exit.
