Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has hinted that he is busy with a "surprise signing", but cannot say who the player is or when they deal will be done.

It's said that Van Gaal is still looking for a centre-back and a striker that will score him at least 20 goals a season.
In a press conference, the manager mentioned that there may be a "surprise signing" on the way to Old Trafford and he confirmed that it would be a striker.
"He's in the process," he told ESPN.
"It's not the striker that the media has written about but you have to wait and see. The transfer period is open until 31 August or the first of September so we have to wait."

Thomas Muller, Pedro Rodriguez and Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani have all been linked with the Red Devils in recent months, but according to Van Gaal this player has not been mentioned in the media.
