FC Barcelona have rubbished recent reports that Pedro Rodriguez has signed for Manchester United.
Reports: Man Utd To Land €24M Pedro
It was reported on Thursday that the Spanish winger was close to an agreement to join Manchester United, but according to the club there hasn't even been an official bid for the player.
The club's president Josep Maria Bartomeu told reporters that no bids have been made for any their players and if Pedro was leaving, United would have to activate his buyout clause.
"We have not received any offers for any player," Bartomeu said, as quoted by the Mirror.
"I refer back to what head coach Luis Enrique said: If someone wants to sign our players then the release clause must be met.
"So far, no one has made an offer, so we are calm."
Barcelona manager Luis Enrique also told members of the press that he has spoken to Pedro personally and if he wants to leave, he would need to find a club that will meet his release clause.
"If he wants to go, a club will have to meet his release clause," he said in a press conference in the US.
"I have talked with Pedro to discuss his situation. I have told him how I think about it and he told me how he feels about it."
