The veteran centre-back was excluded from Enrique's selection for the competition, despite the vast experience has he has gained in the 180 times he has represented Spain since his senior debut in 2005.
Injuries cost Ramos his place in La Furia Roja's UEFA European Championship squad last year, although his return to form at Paris Saint-Germain has seen him become a key player for the Ligue 1 giants.
Ramos, though, was still overlooked by Enrique when he named his roster for Qatar 2022 early in November, leading to concerns that his international career has come to an end.
The 36-year-old, however, has taken no pleasure in Spain's penalty shootout defeat to Morocco in the round of 16 on Tuesday evening, and issued a message of support to his compatriots in a social media post, according to Get Spanish Football News.
"Today more than ever, proud of our flag," he said on Instagram.
"Proud of our country and proud of our players. Spain does not lose, Spain learns.
"Spain falls, stumbles, but gets up and continues to lead.
