The player who was kicked out of Cameroon's 2022 FIFA World Cup camp during the tournament has now sent a cryptic message after being sent home from Qatar.
Official: Eto'o Releases Statement After Violent Attack On Man At World Cup
Ahead of the Indomitable Lions' clash against Serbia in the group stage, Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana was dropped from the team's starting XI before being sent home.
The 26-year-old was said to be involved in a heated disagreement with head coach Rigobert Song over his goalkeeping style, a conversation that ultimately led to his premature departure from the Middle East.
Cameroon later confirmed that squad harmony was at the top of their priority list, while Onana publicly stated that he was not met halfway in his efforts to find a solution to the issue.
The former Barcelona academy star has since posted a cryptic message online, suggesting that the truth will be revealed in time.
"In a world where lying is the most common thing, telling the truth makes you a revolutionary. But in the end, time will put everything in its place," he wrote on Twitter.
Cameroon Makes History Despite World Cup Exit
Onana was Cameroon's undisputed No. 1 at both of the past two Africa Cup of Nations, and started his country's first match of the World Cup in Qatar.
