Morocco is the only African side remaining at the World Cup, and will look to make history by becoming the first nation from the continent to progress to the tournament's final four when they face Portugal in their quarter-final clash on Saturday.
Pivotal to the Atlas Lions' success in Qatar has been defensive midfielder Sofyan Amrabat. The Fiorentina man has played an integral part in Morocco's solidity at the back, with the north African giants having conceded only one goal in the entire competition thus far.
His performances have reportedly grabbed Liverpool's attention, with the 26-year-old said to have already held talks with Jurgen Klopp over a proposed move to Anfield.
In light of the links, the Netherlands-born midfielder's agent has now responded to reports regarding his client's future.
"Of course, I get a lot of phone calls for Sofyan. The whole world has seen he's the best holding midfielder of the World Cup," Amrabat's agent Mohammed Sinouh said, as per the Liverpool Echo.
"Sofyan is a top professional, he's focused on the World Cup with Morocco."
According to Foot Mercato, Klopp is keen to strengthen his midfield for the second half of the 2022/23 campaign and has identified the former Club Brugge man as a key target, and while it is further claimed that the two parties are set to meet after the World Cup as the Reds look to finalise a deal.
