Real Madrid star Gareth Bale matched a feat only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have achieved at the FIFA Club World Cup, following his hat-trick on Wednesday evening.

The Welshman played a starring role as Los Blancos advanced to a third successive Club World Cup final after defeating Kashima Antlers.
Bale netted a hat-trick in the space of 11 minutes for the European champions, who have had their fair share of struggles so far this season.
However, with his first goal, the former Tottenham Hotspur attacker became the third player after Messi and Ronaldo to score in three different Club World Cup campaigns, according to Opta Sports.

The 29-year-old has now taken his tally to 10 goals in 21 appearances across all competitions this season, one goal behind Real's top goalscorer Karim Benzema.
