Al Ahly's captain has insisted the African champions want to win the FIFA Club World Cup, which would see Pitso Mosimane make history.
The Egyptian giants will kick off their participation in the Club World Cup on Thursday evening against hosts Al Duhail, with UEFA Champions League winners Bayern Munich awaiting the winner in the semi-finals.
Al Ahly captain and goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy has now spoken about his club's ambitions for the tournament.
"Qualifying for the second round and taking on Bayern Munich would be amazing for us, the players, because we'll be taking on the best team in Europe. It's what every player dreams of," he told FIFA.com.
"The team wants to go as far as it can and have a good tournament. We'll take it game by game to achieve our objective.
"My goal is to win the title. If we want to be world champions, we'll need to stick together and be a unit."
Al Ahly, though, have a tough task ahead of them as no African team has ever won the tournament, and only two have reached the final.
