With the 2019 FIFA Club World Cup drawing to a close this weekend, it has been a tournament in which some of Africa's brightest stars have made the world stage their own.
The line-up for this year's Club World Cup final was confirmed on Wednesday night, after reigning European champions Liverpool beat Mexican outfit Monterrey 2-1 to set up an exciting clash against Brazilian giants Flamengo.
Guinea international Naby Keita starred for the Reds on the night, opening the scoring for his side in the first half after being played through by two-time CAF African Footballer of the Year Mohamed Salah.
That connection continued a theme of excellence from the continent's stars at this year's tournament, with 10 of the 25 goals scored across the six matches thus far having come from the boot of African players.
Liverpool's African trio of Keita, Salah and Sadio Mane will be looking to continue that trend on Saturday, when they will look to guide the Reds to a first-ever title in the competition.
