On Monday evening, LaLiga giants FC Barcelona announced that Ernesto Valverde had been replaced by Quique Setien, but who is the new manager at the helm and what will he bring to the club?
Following months of speculation around Valverde's future at Barcelona, the club's hierarchy finally pulled the trigger on Tuesday morning, when they announced that the 55-year-old had been sacked and replaced by Setien.
The new manager arrives at the Camp Nou with a wealth of experience, having began his managerial career at Racing Santander, before working his way up through Spain's lower leagues, and had previously also enjoyed a brief stint with the national team of Equatorial Guinea in 2006.
From there, he ultimately earned a move to LaLiga side Las Palmas where he staved off relegation in his debut season, before taking over Real Betis in 2017, where his attacking style of play drew acclaim from various quarters.
Throughout his career thus far, the former Spain international has modelled his style on the principles of Barca legend Johan Cruyff, and ordinarily sets his side up in an attacking 4-2-3-1 formation, which places an emphasis on possession-based football.
The 61-year-old's first match in charge will come on Sunday, 14 January, when the Blaugrana take on mid-table side Granada.
