Earlier this month, it was reported that record Saudi champions Al Hilal are keen on recruiting Barca youngster Vitor Roque from Catalonia.
Much was made of the teenage sensation prior to his arrival at the LALIGA giants, given his form in Brazil with Club Athletico Paranaense.
The Timoteo native scored 28 goals and assisted 11 times in 81 appearances for the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A side before making the €40 million (R765 million) switch to the Blaugrana.
For all the hype that surrounded the 19-year-old's arrival in Spain, Roque is yet to make a major impression at the home of the Catalan giants, and it seems Barca are now open to letting him go.
According to Sport, the gulf juggernauts were keen on signing Roque on a loan deal, but Barca preferred a permanent switch with a transfer fee.
Now, the same publication has stated that the Blue Waves have returned to meet Barca's valuation of €40 million for Roque's services, and are willing to give the Brazil youth international a lucrative contract to go along with it, but he has rejected the move to Riyadh.
