A severe drop-off in the Merseyside team's form was said to be a cause for concern with regards to Salah, with Foot Mercato reporting that the Egypt international was unsure about how competitive Liverpool will be in the future and was open to making a move to the either Los Merengues or the Blaugrana as a result.
However, the forward's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has since taken to Twitter to question the legitimacy of the news, writing in response to the report: "Where did you get this from if not even Mohamed and I discussed this? Please tell us."

The 30-year-old signed a three-year extension with the Merseyside outfit in July last year, with Mundo Deportivo reporting that the two-time CAF African Player of the Year is keen to see out Jurgen Klopp's off-season revamp of the squad.
