With FC Barcelona looking to bolster their attacking ranks next season, the club has reportedly turned its attention to a former player of theirs who could one day turn out for an African nation.
Following long-term injuries to Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele, and with Lionel Messi's future at the club cast in doubt after a spate of fallouts, Barca are reportedly looking to bring in attacking reinforcements for the 2020/21 campaign.
According to the Daily Mail, the Catalan giants have identified Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore as a transfer target, and know the 24-year-old well from his time in Catalonia.
Born and raised in Barcelona, Traore made four senior appearances for the club before joining Aston Villa and then Middlesbrough, from where he was signed by Wolves last season.
He has since become one of the Premier League's star players, which has seen both Spain and Mali courting his international allegiance, and has emerged as a target for a host of major European clubs.
Traore has scored five goals in 36 appearances for Wolves so far this season, with his side currently eighth in the Premier League table.
