According to Sport, RB Leipzig want the Catalan giants to pay Dani Olmo's break clause soon as they have identified Portugal international Francisco Conceicao as his successor.
Olmo, who was once part of the Blaugrana's famed La Masia academy, had a sterling 2024 UEFA European Championship with Spain, winning the competition's Golden Boot as he helped La Furia Roja become the record-setting title holders for the fourth time.
The Catalan giants are now seemingly keen on acquiring his services, and the player is also believed to be eager to make a return to Catalonia.
However, Barca have not yet met the Bundesliga outfit's valuation for their star, with the German club in a race against time to fend off the likes of Juventus, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund for Conceicao's services.
Olmo has a reported release clause of €60 million, and with Barca also trying to negotiate a deal with Athletic Club for Nico Williams, who is believed to be valued at a similar price, paying the full amount to Leipzig up front will prove difficult.

Sky Sports has reported that the five-time European champions have launched a bid worth £50 million (R1.1 billion) for Olmo, but it is expected to be rejected as a consequence of the way in which the offer is structured. The Spanish giants are said to want to pay £33.7 million £50 million (R802 million) in an up-front payment, with the rest being made up of add-ons, and this is believed to have irked the Bundesliga outfit.
