Xavi: Barca Is Messi's Home, But…
With rumours in recent weeks suggesting that the 35-year-old could make a switch back to the Catalan giants in 2023 picking up steam, a massive bombshell was dropped by a reporter close to the Argentine and his team of representatives on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Veronica Brunati, Messi will once again be a Barcelona player when his current contract at Paris Saint-Germain expires in June next year.

The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner has been in sensational form for the French giants so far this season, prompting the club's hierarchy to plan discussions to have his current contract renewed.
However, reports across Europe suggest that Messi has no intention of signing a new deal in Paris, with his former side said to be interested in reuniting with their all-time record goalscorer.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently stated that president Joan Laporta is keen to bring Messi back to Spain, while head coach Xavi Hernandez has been coy on the speculation in recent days.
The 2021 Copa America winner departed the Blaugrana as a free agent in August 2021, after Laporta decided at the time that offering him a new contract would be financially unviable for the club.
