Barca were once again linked with luring Neymar back to the Camp Nou, but club president Josep Maria Bartomeu ruled out the transfer, saying that it was "unfeasible", while a move for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has also seemingly stalled.
SPORT has reported that a minimum of six players will need to move on if the Spanish giants want to bring in new faces, while there are nine stars they are open to selling, according to Forbes.
The deal that they worked for Miralem Pjanic, which saw Arthur Melo head the other way, brings them a profit of only €12 million (R250 million).
Striker Martin Braithwaite has been linked with a move to the Premier League, but even if they are able to secure a €20 million (R416 million) for his signature, they would only make a profit of €2 million (R41m).
One of their high-profile exits is likely to be Philippe Coutinho, although he was linked with a switch to Arsenal and reports in England suggest that the Gunners are leaning towards signing Willian from Chelsea instead.
Ivan Rakitic is another of the big names linked with an exit, with the player said to be keen on moving back to Sevilla, while Nelson Semedo is said to be close to a new deal, but there is speculation that Manchester City could come calling.
