Following FC Barcelona's elimination from the Spanish Super Cup on Thursday, star forwards Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez both commented on manager Ernesto Valverde's future at the club.
Barca suffered a 3-2 defeat against rivals Atletico Madrid, despite having led 2-1 earlier in the match, which saw them eliminated from the new-look Super Cup competition.
The result added further pressure on Valverde, but he found support from star man Messi after the match, with the Argentine throwing his support behind the under-fire manager.
"It's normal that a lot gets said when there is a loss, when you don't meet your objectives or you don't play like we like to play..."
Messi's striker partner Suarez also defended Valverde and insisted that the blame for the defeat rested on the shoulders of the players.
