The Blaugrana's official Twitter accounts were hacked on Saturday evening, by a group that identified themselves as OurMine.
The group posted a spate of self-promotional posts, which have since been deleted, before claiming to have seen correspondence from the club that confirmed that former player Neymar would be making a return to the Camp Nou.
An image, purported to have been saved in the accounts' drafts and which seemingly confirmed the Brazil international's return, was also posted in a subsequent tweet, as captured in the below screenshot.
Barcelona regained control of their accounts during the course of the evening, and confirmed that the club would review its security protocols and investigate how the breach occurred.
This is the second time the Blaugrana's account has been hacked, while the Olympics' official page was also targeted.
