Amid ongoing fears surrounding the spread of the coronavirus, FC Barcelona's stars will be subjected to medical tests ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Napoli this week.
Barcelona will travel to Italy on Monday ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash against Napoli on Tuesday, but Quique Setien's side will be met with the stress of having to undergo tests for the novel coronavirus upon their arrival in the country.
This follows an outbreak of the virus in Italy over the past week, which saw a European record number of cases confirmed, and which prompted the postponement of all sporting events, including a number of Serie A matches, in the north of the country.
While Naples appears to have been unaffected thus far, Barca's stars will still be forced to undergo strict tests upon landing in, and departing from, Italy, according to Spanish publication AS, who cited ESPN.
It has further been claimed that if any player or staff member is found to be showing signs of the virus, they will be admitted to hospital for further checks, and could face the possibility of being quarantined.
