With it being confirmed that one of FC Barcelona's non-travelling players tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, his identity has now been revealed.
Initially, the player's identity was not confirmed, but the LaLiga club did state that it was one of the nine players who reported for pre-season and did not travel to Lisbon for their UCL clash on Friday.
However, Jean-Clair Todibo has since taken to Twitter to confirm he is recovering from COVID-19 after testing positive.
"Hello everyone, I inform you that I have tested positive for covid-19, I am asymptomatic and I feel fine," he wrote, as translated from Spanish.
"I am at home following the proper health protocol. I really want to go back to training, but now it's time to stay home until the virus is over.
"Thank you all for the support and encouragement to all the people who are also experiencing it closely. A greeting."
The other players who have begun pre-season training in Barcelona are Pedri, Francisco Trincao, Matheus Fernandes, Moussa Wague, Carles Alena, Rafinha Alcantara, Juan Miranda and Oriol Busquets.
