FC Barcelona head coach Quique Setien has spoken about his future at the club amid ongoing rumours of his potential dismissal.
The Catalan giants are set to lose their grip on the LaLiga trophy this season, with Real Madrid only one win away from claiming their first league title since 2017.
Manager Setien was brought to the Camp Nou from Real Betis in January due to his possession-based playing style, but the Santander-born boss has failed to lead the club to another domestic triumph, but despite reports that Xavi Hernandes is waiting to take over from him, the Blaugrana manager has made his position at the club clear.
"Of course, I see myself training Barca next season," the 61-year-old said, as per Goal.com.
"I have already experienced this before.
"The reality is that the expectations one has haven't been achieved, or not yet, but the work done is what must be valued.
"This is what I understand, or what I would like to see assessed. Of course, I think about next year's continuity."
Barca striker Luis Suarez has reportedly all but given up on the league title race this season, but Setien seemingly maintains hope that Real will drop points.
"That is his (Suarez's) opinion. It is not yet (over) because anything can happen, but it is difficult," the Spanish tactican added.
"It requires a team that has won every game (since the season resumed) to lose. We have had three draws that make this difference.
"Obviously (Real) Madrid have done better because they have won all eight games. It is possible that a circumstance can arise (where Barca can win the title). We will fight until the end."
