According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Blaugrana youngster Marc Guiu has informed the Spanish giants of his decision to join Chelsea.
The teenager, who scored twice for the club's senior team last season, has agreed to the move as the Blues prepare to trigger his €6 million (R117.1 million) release clause.
He is expected to put pen to paper on a long-term deal in London and be a part of the first team's pre-season ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
It is reported that Guiu's camp communicated their intentions to Barcelona on Tuesday.
The forward made headlines in October last year after scoring on his LALIGA debut for the Catalan giants in a 1-0 win over Athletic Club.
The 18-year-old is considered a promising talent, but will take his career to the Premier League with only seven senior appearances' worth of experience.
Chelsea have been busy in this transfer window so far following Enzo Maresca's appointment as manager, with more signings anticipated at Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
