Since the beginning of the transfer window, the Catalan giants have been heavily linked with a move for Dani Olmo, and it now seems they have made massive strides in their pursuit of the goalscoring midfielder.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blaugrana have come to an agreement with the 26-year-old regarding a six-year deal.
Now, all that is said to be left is for Barca to settle on a transfer fee with Olmo's current club RB Leipzig, an issue which has proved problematic for the Spanish giants in recent weeks.
It is understood the Bundesliga outfit hastily rejected the five-time UEFA Champions League winners' initial offer for the Terrassa native, but according to Romano, the Catalans have now returned with a revised proposal.
He claims that the LALIGA juggernauts are willing to pay €55 million (R1 billion) guaranteed, with an additional €4 million (R78.6 million) in easily achievable add-ons, plus another €3 million (R58.9 million) in add-ons that are being described as hard to reach.
It is understood Olmo only wants to make a return to Barca, his boyhood club, having left the Blaugrana as a youth player in 2014.

Bayern Munich and Manchester City are rumoured to be interested in the La Masia alumni, and with it being alleged that talks between Barca and Nico Williams have fallen through, the aforementioned sides may also be waiting on this mooted Olmo transfer to suffer the same fate.
