FA Cup - Fourth Round Replay Result: West Ham 2-1 Liverpool Date: 9 February 2016 Venue: Boleyn Ground West Ham progressed past the FA Cup Fourth Round with a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in their replay on Tuesday night. The Hammers came within inches of scoring the opener in the 16th minute. O'Brien was picked out on the edge of the area and smashed a shot at goal that skid off the surface before hitting the post. West Ham again found the woodwork in the 38th minute. Payet lined up a shot from a free kick but curled it onto the frame of the goal. The rebound was headed goalwards, but Simon Mignolet cleaned it up. The breakthrough finally arrived on the stroke of half-time. Valencia powered towards the byline before lifting a cross towards the far post where Michail Antonio was in space and produced the finish. However, three minutes into the second half the visitors were back on level terms. Philippe Coutinho waited for the wall to jump and sent a free kick underneath them to find the back of the Hammers' net. The equaliser gave the Reds some momentum and they seemed to be the more likely side to score next goal, but the game went into extra time. The tie looked set for penalties, but in extra time stoppage time the hosts found their winner. Payet sent a free kick towards the far post where former Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna rose high to loop a header over Mignolet and into the net.
