FA Cup third round replay
Result: Liverpool 3-0 Exeter
Date: 20 January 2016
Venue: Anfield
Liverpool progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup after securing a comfortable 3-0 win over Exeter City at Anfield.
The Reds broke the deadlock on the 10-minute mark, as Christian Benteke fed Brad Smith, who teed up Joe Allen for the simple tap-in from six-yards out.
Benteke should have doubled Liverpool's advantage in the 18th minute but the Belgian striker somehow directed his header over the crossbar from close range.
Liverpool dictated play from the onset and they nearly bagged a second in the 23rd minute when Brannagan forced Olejnik into a fine save with a strike from the edge of the box.
Jordon Ibe did go close with another effort from distance in the 38th minute, with Olejnik producing another fine stop to deny the Liverpool winger.
The score remained 1-0 in favour of Liverpool at the halftime break.
The woodwork came to the visitors' rescue in the 53rd minute, as Ibe cut in from the right flank before rattling the upright with a venomous strike from the edge of the box.
Klopp introduced winger, Sheyi Ojo, midway through the second half and the youngster doubled the Liverpool's lead in the 74th minute with a clinical finish into the top corner.
Liverpool managed to add a third goal in the 82nd minute, as Benteke threaded a pass for Joao Carlos Teixeira, who showed great composure to slot past Olejnik from 12-yards out.
The score remained 3-0 at the full-time whistle, as Klopp's charges progressed to the fourth round, where they will meet West Ham United.
Meanwhile, goals from Son Heung-Min and Nacer Chadli handed Tottenham Hotspur a 2-0 win over Leicester City in the third round replay at the King Power Stadium.
