FA Cup Result: Chelsea 5-1 Manchester City Date: 21 February 2016 Venue: Stamford Bridge Chelsea cruised into the FA Cup quarterfinals with a 5-1 hammering of Manchester City on Sunday. The hosts took the lead in the 35th minute when Eden Hazard picked out Diego Costa with a cross, resulting in the striker heading home unmarked from inside the area. However, two minutes later the scores were level again as David Faupala netted the equaliser. Iheanacho played a square ball to Faupala who had a simple finish from inside the six-yard area. Willian masterminded Chelsea's second goal three minutes into the second stanza. The Brazilian steamed forward from inside his own half and played a one-two with Hazard before slotting past Caballero. Guus Hiddink's men were in control of proceedings as they extended their lead to two goals in the 53rd minute. A poor clearance from Fernando fell for Gary Cahill who smashed it home. The result was put beyond all doubt in the 67th minute. Hazard directed a free kick into the far corner of Caballero's goal to make it 4-1 to the hosts. Chelsea added more misery for the visitors as they netted a fifth goal in the 89th minute as Bertrand Traore scored with a looping header. Earlier, Crystal Palace knocked out Tottenham Hotspur with a 1-0 victory at White Hart Lane, while West Ham smashed Blackburn 5-1 to advance.
