FA Cup Fourth Round

Teams: Arsenal 2-1 Burnley

Date: 30 January 2016

Venue: Emirates Stadium

Alexis Sanchez scored the winner as Arsenal claimed a 2-1 victory against Burnley at the Emirates to progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Arsene Wenger gave Egyptian international Mohamed Elneny his first start since the midfielder's January move from Swiss outfit FC Basel.

Burnley had the game's first sight at goal early in the second minute, as Andre Gray shot over the bar from inside the box.

Then in seventh minute, injury returnee, Alexis Sanchez unleashed a low drive which narrowly beat the upright.

Four minutes later, Gray squandered a wonderful opportunity to open the scoring as he profited from a Gabriel error - only to shoot straight at an onrushing David Ospina.

However, Arsenal took the lead in the 19th minute, as Sanchez set-up Calum Chambers who fired a powerful outside drive past Tom Heaton,1-0.

Ten minutes later Burnley grabbed the equaliser albeit against the run of play, when Sam Vokes leapt the highest to direct Tendayi Darikwa's cross into the back of the net,1-1.

Arsenal finished the half strongly with Sanchez proving to be a real threat for the Burnley defense,  however the half ended at 1-1.

Five minutes into the second half Scott Arfield past at Arsenal's defense but his shot lacked the conviction to trouble Ospina.

Minutes later Arsenal broke away on a swift counter attack as Chambers crossed towards Sanchez for a tap in, 2-1.

In the 71st minute Sanchez searched for a brace after his shot from a free kick was well parried away by Heaton.

Then on the 90th minute mark, Gray got played through on goal but his strike failed to find the target.

Arsenal held on to their lead to win 2-1.
