Manchester United cruised into the quarterfinals of the FA Cup with a 3-0 win over Shrewsbury Town in the fifth round on Monday evening.
United controlled the encounter from the onset and created the first chance in the 10th minute when Memphis Depay forced Leutwiler into a fine low save.
The visitors went close again in the 28th minute when Anthony Martial's deflected strike was cleared off the line by Ogogo.
United eventually broke the deadlock in the 37th minute, as Guillermo Varela's knockdown found Chris Smalling, who fired a deflected volley into the far corner.
The lead was doubled on the stroke of halftime, as Juan Mata curled home a wonderful free-kick into the bottom corner from 20-yards out.
The Red Devils should have added a third goal 10 minutes into the second half but Martial managed to head wide of the target from six-yards, after some quick thinking by Daley Blind and Mata.
Louis Van Gaal's side eventually extended their lead in the 62nd minute when Ander Herrera did well to pick out Jesse Lingard, who calmly slotted home at the far post, 3-0.
The visitors went agonisingly close to getting a fourth goal in the 73rd minute, as substitute Will Keane rattled the upright from the edge of the box.
Van Gaal's charges managed to see out the rest of the second half with relative ease to secure progression and end their three-game winless run all competitions.
The Red Devils will now meet West Ham United in their quarterfinal tie.
