UEFA Europa League Result: Tottenham 2-1 Anderlecht Date: 5 November 2015 Venue: White Hart Lane Tottenham secured a 2-1 win over Anderlecht on Thursday in their UEFA Europa League thanks to an 87th-minute winner. The visitors came close to taking the lead only seven minutes into the clash when Okaka brought the ball down from a long pass and sent it to Defour who forced Hugo Lloris to tip it over the bar. Ben Davies created a chance for Spurs in the 23rd minute. He picked out Erik Lamela with a pass, and the Argentine beat Mbodji but then sent his shot wide of the far post. The deadlock was broken in the 29th minute as the hosts took the lead. Eriksen picked up Alli's pass and played a superb ball to Harry Kane who placed his shot into the bottom corner of the goal. Anderlecht threatened to equalise two minutes into the second stanza. Okaka held the ball up well before sending it to Deschacht just outside the box, but the centre-back's shot went just over the target. Davies hit the woodwork just past the hour mark as Spurs looked to double their lead. The left-back took his shot from distance and saw it dip into the goal frame. In the 72nd minute it was Anderlecht who levelled matters. Defour delivered a curling cross from the left flank and Imoh Ezekiel was on hand to stick away the finish. Spurs sneaked in a winner in the 87th minute when Son rolled the ball to Mousa Dembele who produced a brilliant shot to find the back of the net.
