Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has admitted that he sometimes tells his stars they need to be "horny".

The Dutchman was speaking ahead of his team's UEFA Europa League clash against FC Midtjylland on Thursday, and when a journalist asked him about United's desire, Van Gaal used a slightly unorthodox word to describe what his team should play with.
"You are right, your word is fantastic: Desire," he said a press conference.
"Also, 'hungry', and a lot of times I use the word 'horny'.
"Players and managers want to fight for the victory, but players are human beings.
"You also are not always in the same shape or form."

United will only advance to the last 16 of the European competition if they can overturn their 2-1 deficit following their loss to the Danish side in the first leg last week.
