Manchester United Jose Mourinho has responded to Paul Pogba's critics after the Frenchman's brace against Fenerbahce in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.
MSN's Incredible Stats In 2016
The 23-year-old opened the scoring from the penalty spot, and added a second minutes before half-time with a neat finish from outside of the box.
Pogba has received a lot criticism for his recent performances, and Mourinho has noted how strange it is that, just a few days ago, people were saying the midfielder was a bad purchase.
"Two days ago, he was the worst player of the Premier League and 48 hours later he is phenomenal," the Portuguese tactician told BT Sport.
"Listen, he needs time. I was in Italy, I have worked in Italy. I know the pace, intensity and characteristics of the league well.
"To be in Italy for four, five years and then come back to the Premier League is not easy. I was not expecting him to adapt with a click of the fingers.
"Even top players need time."
