Sparta Praha 2-4 (3-6 agg) Villarreal The Yellow Submarine thumped Sparta Praha 4-2 in the second leg of their UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash on Thursday night. The Spanish outfit took a 2-1 lead from the first leg and extended their advantage in the fifth minute with Cedric Bakambu scoring. The first half finished 3-0 to Villarreal after Samu Castillejo (43') and Bruno (45'+) netted for the traveling side. Bakambu completed his brace in the 49th minute to make it 4-0, before consolation goals from Borek Dockal (66') and Ladislav Krejci (71'). Shakhtar Donetsk 4-0 (6-1 agg) Sporting Braga The hosts powered into the last four 6-1 on aggregate after a dominant performance in the second leg at L'viv Arena. Shakhtar took a 2-1 lead into the game and opened the scoring in the 25th minute as Darijo Srna found the back of the net. Disaster struck for Ricardo Ferreira in the 42nd minute when he put the ball into his own goal. Viktor Kovalenko put the home side 3-0 ahead five minutes into the second half, and Ricardo Ferreira produced another own goal as Donetsk cruised into the last four. Sevilla 1-2 (3-3 agg, 5-4 pen) Athletic Bilbao Aduriz scored a crucial away goal for Athletic in the 57th minute but Kevin Gameiro made it 1-1 only two minutes later. Sevilla looked set to advance but in the 80th minute Raul Garcia scored to force extra-time. Neither team scored in extra-time and the tie went to penalties. Sevilla claimed the penalty shootout victory 5-4 after Benat's spot-kick was saved.
