Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly set to go head to head in an effort to land Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen's signature at the end of the season.

The Blues' interest in the Lagos native has long been documented, with the west Londoners keen on bolstering their striking position drastically with Osimhen's acquisition.
The two-time European champions tried to sign the 25-year-old last year, before he inked his new three-year extension with Napoli.
In his new contract, there is believed to be a release clause in the region of €130 million (R2.6 billion), and while Chelsea may be willing to pay the figure come the end of this campaign, Italian publication La Repubblica claim that they will have to contest for Osimhen's signature with cross-city rivals the Gunners.
Like Mauricio Pochettino, Mikel Arteta has a goalscoring problem as far as his strikers are concerned.
The north Londoners have not been as free-scoring as they were during the 2022/23 season, and the Spaniard seems keen on remedying that by bringing in last season's top goalscorer in Serie A.
The 2023 CAF Men's Player of the Year recently revealed that he already knows what he wants to do regarding his future come the end of the season.
