Manchester United 0-0 Southampton
Manchester United were unable to get back on the winning trail in the Premier League after drawing 0-0 with Southampton.
Erik ten Hag made two changes from the Europa League win over Real Betis, as Jadon Sancho and Aaron Wan-Bissaka were recalled in place of Fred and Diogo Dalot.
The Red Devils had a couple chances to get in front, with Marcus Rashford and Wout Weghorst being denied by Saints goalkeeper Bazunu.
Things turned sour for United on 34 minutes when Casemiro was sent off after Video Assistant Referee (VAR) review, which saw his yellow card upgraded to a red for a dangerous challenge on Carlos Alcarez.
United goalkeeper David de Gea was also at his best as denied Theo Walcott in a break away one-on-one situation just after the hour mark.
Both sides were also denied by the woodwork in the final 15 minutes, with Bruno Fernandes seeing his long-range strike pushed onto the upright by Bazunu while Kyle Walker-Peters rattled the post at the other end.
Fulham 0-3 Arsenal
Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the top with a 3-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Star striker Gabriel Jesus was named on the bench for the first time since before the FIFA World Cup, as Mikel Arteta recalled Gabriel Magalhães, Thomas Partey, Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard.
The Gunners had the ball in the back of the net on 16 minutes through an own goal from Antonee Robinson, but the effort was ruled out for an offside.
The opening goal would arrived five minutes later when Gabriel nodded home Trossard's corner for his third league goal of the season.
The lead was doubled in the 27th minute when Trossard turned provider once again and sent a cross to the far post, where Gabriel Martinelli was on hand to head home from close range.
There was enough time for Arsenal to get a third goal before the break when captain Martin Odegaard calmly slotted home after being set up by Trossard.
The three goals were enough to get the job done, while Gabriel Jesus also made his comeback in the final ten minutes of the second half.
West Ham United 1-1 Aston Villa
West Ham United and Aston Villa could not be separated after playing to a 1-1 draw at the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The visitors got the breakthrough in the 17th minute after Ollie Watkins continued his fine form by heading in a cross from Alex Moreno.
West Ham got back on level terms ten minutes later when Said Benrahma converted a penalty after Leon Bailey's foul on Lucas Paqueta.
