With reports recently linking Erling Haaland with a potential move to Real Madrid, Pep Guardiola has now broken his silence regarding the rumours.

Haaland arrived at Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund for a reported fee of €60 million (R1 billion) during the off-season.
With the Scandinavian enjoying a scintillating start to life in England since, there have been reports linking the striker with a move to the Spanish capital. Earlier this week, news outlets from Spain suggested that 14-time European champions Real could exclusively sign Haaland after the 2023/24 season.
The Norwegian signed a five-year deal with the Citizens and while that contract is inclusive of various clause, it does not include a specific termination clause that would allow Los Blancos to sign the forward for in June 2024, according to his boss Pep Guardiola.
"It is not true," the Spaniard said after City's 5-0 win over Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, as per ESPN.
"He does not have a release clause for Real Madrid or any other team. Rumours, people talk.
"We have to be worried about what we can control. I have the feeling he is very happy here and we will try to make people happy here. He is settled perfectly, incredibly beloved."

Haaland's brace against the Danish opposition on Wednesday night saw him become only the third player to score in each of his first three Champions League appearances for an English club.
The young forward has now found the back of the net an astonishing 19 times in 12 games across all competitions for the Citizens this season.
