According to Football Insider, England international Kalvin Phillips has requested to leave the Citizens ahead of the 2024/25 season.
The former Leeds United man has endured a difficult time in Manchester and struggled on loan at West Ham United for the final six months of the past campaign.
Phillips, 28, made just eight appearances for the Hammers as he was unable to rediscover the form that earned him the move to City from Leeds United in 2022.
The 31-time England international has played only 31 times under Pep Guardiola, with whom he fell out after the Spaniard called him overweight after the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The midfielder returned to club duty unfit after injury issues saw him overlooked by Gareth Southgate in Qatar, and did not respond well to Guardiola's comments.
He later admitted to being hurt by the manager's remarks, for which Guardiola eventually apologised.
