Barcelona's No. 10 Ansu Fati has reportedly agreed to make a shock move to the Premier League for the 2023/24 season.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the winger is closing in on a move to England's top division after playing just 47 minutes of the Blaugrana's opening three LALIGA matches this term.
The 20-year-old was heavily linked with a short-term switch to Tottenham Hotspur, but has reportedly decided to join Brighton Hove Albion on loan instead.

Romano suggests the Seagulls' head coach Roberto De Zerbi was "key" to Fati's decision and that the English side will cover a large portion of his wages as part of the agreement.
The La Masia academy product is expected to arrive in England on Thursday as Brighton hope to confirm the transfer as soon as possible ahead of Friday night's deadline.
Fati made his debut for Barcelona in 2019 after impressing in the club's youth ranks, before eventually being given the No. 10 jersey vacated by Lionel Messi in 2021.

While his progress in Spain has seemingly been hampered by injury, the Guinea-Bissau-born attacker is still considered by many to be among the best young players in the world.
