It was reported last week that Blues midfielder Mateo Kovacic was open to joining Pep Guardiola's side following five years at Stamford Bridge.
The Croatia international initially signed for Chelsea on loan from Real Madrid in 2018, a deal that became permanent in 2019.
He now looks set to take his career to the Citizens, with the London club believed to be set for a major squad revamp after the arrival of new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Kovacic has already agreed to a deal with the treble-chasers, with a transfer fee still to be discussed between the clubs.
