As the 2024/25 campaign approaches, regular France international Adrien Rabiot is still without a team after recently bidding farewell to Italian giants Juventus, bringing an end to a five-year spell in Serie A.
The 29-year-old midfielder has been linked with a move to England in the past, but it appears unclear as to what his options are at the moment, although it is unlikely the ex-Paris Saint-Germain man will be short of suitors.
Rabiot made 212 appearances for the Bianconeri, contributing to 37 goals across all competitions, and is currently the highest-valued free agent at €35 million (R701.8 million), according to Transfermarkt.
Here are 10 top footballers still without clubs:
Argentina international Guido Rodriguez is available after leaving Real Betis in Spain. Rumours had suggested that the midfielder, who has won two Copa America titles and a FIFA World Cup with his country, was closing in on a move to Barcelona prior to Xavi Hernandez's departure, but it remains to be seen where he will be playing his football next.
Mario Hermoso and Memphis Depay, meanwhile, are no longer on Atletico Madrid's books after their deals expired, while Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane are free agents following their departures from Manchester United.
Goalkeeper David de Gea, who saw his contract at Old Trafford end in 2023, still remains without a club, although he is tipped to return to action ahead of the coming season.
