FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi says winning El Clasico will ensure that he and his teammates will have a happy Christmas.

The Blaugrana, who are six points clear at the top of La Liga, head to the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday to take on their old rivals Real Madrid in the much-anticipated derby.
Messi told members of the media how important it is to win a derby, saying that he would like to end off the year with a win.
"It would be important to win for what it means, it's always a special game," Messi said, as quoted by Marca.
"Real Madrid, at their stadium... winning is a significant advantage.
"There would still be a lot of league games left, but it would be nice to be able to end the year with a victory and spend a happy Christmas."

The Catalan giants currently have an 11-point lead over Los Blancos, but they have played one game more than their rivals.
