It has been confirmed that FC Barcelona will travel to Real Madrid on 8 November for the first El Clasico of the season, after the official La Liga fixtures were announced.

The Blaugrana start their title defence with a tricky away game against Copa del Rey finalists Athletic Bilbao, while Real Madrid travel to newly promoted side Sporting Gijon.
Barcelona's third game of the season is another tricky away fixture at Atletico Madrid, while Los Blancos face their crosstown rivals on 10 October.
The fierce rivals will meet each other for the first El Clasico of the season on 8 November at the Bernabeu, while the second El Clasico will take place on 3 April 2016.
The new La Liga campaign will start on the weekend of the 22/23 August and finish on 14/15 May. On the final day of the season, Barcelona will host Granada, while Real Madrid finish the campaign against La Coruna.

However, Barcelona's campaign already starts on the 11 August when they face Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup.
Only three days later, they play Copa del Rey finalists Athletic in first leg of the Copa de Espana - with the return leg on 17 August.
