Right after Argentina concluded their game with Jamaica, Lionel Messi was approached by Reggae Boyz striker DeShorn Brown for a post-match selfie.
Ref Reveals What Neymar Did In The Tunnel
Brown, who saw his side go down 1-0 to Argentina on Saturday, approached the Barcelona forward with his phone right after the final whistle of the game.
Messi admitted that he was a little stunned by the request, but felt honoured that a fellow play had asked for a picture.
"He surprised me. On top of that I was annoyed about how the match had gone despite our win... but when I saw the phone I realised what was going on," he told reporters, as quoted by the Daily Star.
"It's really nice when a colleague asks me for that."
Brown later explained why he approached Messi for the selfie and admitted that he would cherish this moment for ever.
"I had thought about it before the match so that's why I took the phone to the bench. As soon as the match finished I took the picture," Brown said.
"Messi is the best in the world, a star, and that's a photo I'll have as a souvenir all my life."
