The Portuguese coach ended his trophy drought of two years against London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, and admitted that he finds life as a manger tough without titles, saying it's important that his Chelsea side go for more.
"It's difficult for me to live without titles," he told ESPN.
"I need to feed myself with titles. This is important for me and the boys."
The 52-year-old, who is in his second spell with The Blues, believes that in his new generation of Chelsea players, it's vital that the fresher faces taste the success, along with the players who've been at the club for years.
"For the club it's one more cup, but it's the first one of a new team," he added.
"You have Petr Cech, John Terry, Didier Drogba and, after that, everybody belongs to a new generation of players. So, as a team, very, very important."
The trophy win on Sunday was Mourinho's 10th major title in 12 finals, and in total, the Capitol One Cup win marked his 21st career title.
Chelsea are currently five points clear at the top of the Premier League, and following Manchester City's loss, they could widen the gap to eight points as they have a game in hand.
