Everton 4-0 Yeovil Town The Toffees eased to victory over Yeovil Town in the English League Cup on Tuesday with a 4-0 rout. Aaron Lennon gave the hosts the lead in the 28th minute before Ross Barkley (69') added a second and Arouna Kone (83', 90'+) completed the win with a double. Exeter City 1-3 Hull City Jake Taylor (24') put Exeter in front, but Adama Diomande (26', 77') and Robert Snodgrass (81') ensured the Tigers came away with the win. Newcastle United 2-0 Cheltenham A brace from Ayoze Perez (45'+, 47') led the Magpies to a comfortable win over Cheltenham Town. Peterborough United 1-3 Swansea City Jay Fulton (15') put the Swans on the front foot, and Oliver McBurnie extended their lead to three with a brace before the break. Lopes scored a consolation in the 75th minute. Stevenage 0-4 Stoke City Peter Crouch was the superstar for the Potters on the night as he netted a hat-trick with goals in the 14th, 48th, and 70th minutes, while Phil Bardsley also scored in the 32nd minute. Watford 1-2 (AET) Gillingham Ighalo broke the deadlock in the 57th minute but Mark Byrne (82') levelled matters to force extra-time, in which Bradley Dack (102') scored Gillingham's winner. Crystal Palace 2-0 Blackpool The Eagles were led to victory thanks to goals from Scott Dann (25') and Connor Wickham (47').
