Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial were among the scorers, as Manchester United defeated Ipswich Town 3-0 in their Capital One Cup third round tie.
United manager, Louis Van Gaal, named a strong side to face the Championship outfit, while youngser Andreas Pereira was handed his first start for the Red Devils.
Pereira nearly marked his first start with a goal after just five minutes but the Brazilian fired a stinging effort straight at the goalkeeper.
After a quiet spell in the game, United eventually broke the deadlock when Rooney latched onto a pass from Daley Blind, before firing a low effort into the far corner.
The visitors hardly threatened the United goal in the first half, but they went close just before break when Oar rifled an just wide of the post from 25-yards out.
Mick McCarthy's side piled on the pressure in the opening exchanges of the second half, although they failed test David de Gea.
However, United doubled their lead in the 59th minute when Pereira curled home a wonderful free-kick into the bottom corner.
Juan Mata nearly added his name on the score-sheet in the 65th minute but his effort from 20-yards out was tipped over the bar by Bialkowski.
Second-half substitute, Anthony Martial, nearly continued his fine scoring run for United in the 72nd minute but his snap-shot sailed just wide of the upright.
Pereira nearly added a third in the closing stages of the half but Bialkowski was on hand to deny the Brazilian with a fine reflex save.
Martial rounded off the scoring in the stoppage time, as he collected Memphis' flick-on, before calmly slotting into the bottom corner.
