A cross from Oviedo was only half cleared by Nyatanga and Kevin Mirallas was on hand to send a half volley into the back of the net. A ball into the Barnsley area from Deulofeu went through Nyatanga's legs and was sent into the goal by Marc Robert, netting an own goal that put Everton ahead. Lukaku secured the result in the 115th minute when a quick counter attack saw Barkley roll the ball on for the Belgian international who waited for the keeper to come out before slotting it past him.
