Everton secured their spot in the quarterfinals of the Capital One Cup, after defeating Norwich City 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out.
Sebastian Bassong handed Norwich the lead int he 51st minute, as he fired home from close range, after getting on the end of a corner. However, Leon Osman leveled matters for the host in the 68th minute and sent the match into extra-time.
Neither side could find a winning goal in the 30 minutes of extra-time, which forced the match into a penalty shoot-out.
However, it was Roberto Martinez's side who held their nerve to clinch the win, with Darron Gibson slotting home the winning penalty.
Hull City 1 (5) - (4) 1 Leicester City
Hull City's League Cup journey is still alive, after they defeated English Premier League outfit, Leicester City, 5-4 on penalties, after it ended 1-1 after extra-time.
Riyaad Mahrez broke the deadlock in the 100th minute for the Foxes, before Abel Hernandez leveled matters six minutes later to send the match into a penalty shoot-out.
Steve Bruce's men held their nerve to triumph 5-4 in the shootout to book their spot in the Last eight.
