A footballer playing in Europe has tragically died at just 25 years old.

Former Germany youth international Agyemang Diawusie has sadly passed away, as confirmed in a statement released by third-tier German side Jahn Regensburg on Tuesday.
"The Jahn family mourns with the bereaved and our thoughts are with Agyemang's family, relatives, close friends and companions," it read, according to the Daily Mirror.
"Due to the terrible situation and out of respect for his family, we ask that their privacy be respected."
The club also wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that: "This Tuesday, SSV Jahn received the terrible news that Jahn professional Agyemang Diawusie died at the age of 25. The club is shocked and deeply saddened by this tragic event."
It is yet to be revealed how Diawusie, who also had a brief spell at RB Leipzig between 2017 and 2018, died.
The winger had made 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
The Berlin native spent almost all of his career as a footballer in Germany, although he spend a year and a half at Austrian club SV Ried between 2022 and 2023.
Tributes from top German sides came pouring in following the news on Tuesday, including from Stuttgart, who wrote: "We are shocked. Our sincere condolences go out to his family, friends and SSV Jahn. Rest in peace, Agyemang Diawusie!"

Schalke, meanwhile, said: "Terrible news. Our condolences go out to the relatives and friends as well as the entire Jahn family."
