A Bayern Munich ambassador says the relationship between the club and Senegal star Sadio Mane is over.
The former Liverpool star has been linked with an exit since the bust-up with Leroy Sane after their UEFA Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester City.
Bavarians legend Lotha Matthaus, who is now a club ambassador', says the move for the African Cup of Nations wniner was a mistake.
"Maybe the relationship was a mistake, maybe one of the many mistakes Bayern have done in the last 12 months," the Bayern legend told SuperSport.
"... He has not been able to replicate his form at Liverpool and it is obvious the club is no more interested in him.
"You can say that maybe the move to Bayern was a mistake for him and the club, and so I don't see him staying at the club beyond this current season."
Mane has been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle United reportedly monitoring his situation in Munich.
