Xavi: Cristiano Ronaldo Doesn't Deserve Ballon d'Or

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo did not deserve to win the 2016 Ballon d'Or, according to FC Barcelona legend Xavi.   Read: Players Who Missed Out On Ballon d'Or Top 10   Ronaldo was awarded his fourth Ballon d'Or after finishing first in the voting ahead of Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann.   However, despite winning the UEFA Champions League with Madrid and the European Championship with Portugal, the former Blaugrana believes Lionel Messi still the best player in the world.   "They counted the major trophies but there are other years in which they didn't use that to award the best player in the world," Xavi told TV3.   "Leo Messi is the best despite the trophies that someone else might have won."   Xavi and Ronaldo have exchanged a war of words in the past, when the former commented on the debate about his former teammate and the Portugese.   However, Ronaldo did not hold back with his response.   "Everyone knows that anyone who wants to make the front pages has to talk about me.
